Welcome to Walden Family Services Walden Family Services is celebrating 32 years of fulfilling our mission of supporting the lives of foster care children and families through lasting relationships. Walden Family Services fosters promising futures. How do we do this? We provide loving, stable families for as many of these children as we can, with a focus on those who have what are called "special needs." Of course, we just think they are special. Our foster children, in addition to having experienced severe neglect, abandonment and/or physical or sexual abuse, also often have developmental delays or special health care needs, require intensive therapy, or may simply be part of a sibling group that wants to stay together. They are the hardest to find a home for, so we work our hardest for them. At Walden Family Services, we train our foster parents extensively on how to work with these children to maintain a stable family environment and ultimately allow them to grow into successful adults. We provide qualified staff, support services and ongoing training to ensure that every resource a family needs, it will have, because every child deserves a family. Foster Care News Spring Newsletter
