Walden Social Workers receive baskets on behalf of foster youth at Walden's Riverside location.

Kathy and Doug Nahay, Walden foster parents in Riverside County, were nominated for the 2011 Volunteer Hero Awards hosted by Community Connect in Riverside County.   This annual banquet was held Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center.  The event was a celebration of heroes who donate their time and talents to agencies throughout Riverside County. Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries and Lieutenant Chris Manning of Riverside were in attendance.

Servapalooza is an annual service festival in celebration of Global Youth Service Day.  This year, Servapalooza is being held Sunday, April 10, 2011 at  Liberty Station NTC in San Diego.  For more information, click here or check out the attached flyer.

Rubio's at 2075-A Camino De La Reina in Mission Valley will be hosting a fundraiser from 4 pm to close to support the San Diego Foster Care Coalition.  Please bring the attached flyer and Rubio's will donate 20% of all the proceeds during the event to the Coalition.
